The student backpack journalists at Kids Talk Radio Science use STEM e-Portfolios to help with their studies about Antarctica. For the past seven years Doug Stoup and Bob Barboza have been creating audio and video podcasts of their adventures in Antarctica, the North Polar Region and the Amazon Jungle. In 2011, Barboza visited the Cabo Verde Island to establish relationships with the Cabo Verde Government and the University of Cape Verde. We created custom software for all of our teachers and students. We call our new project the Cabo Verde Tenth Island Project.
